The random WILLIAMSBURG, MI- John and Georgette Sika of Traverse City hit the Great Lakes Giveaway "progressive jackpot" at Traverse Bay Entertainment's Turtle Creek Casino on Friday, February 21, 2003. The random progressive bank of slot machines awarded the Sikas the choice of a new car or cash prize upon a random spin of the reel on an IGT Black Widow $1 denomination machine. As the lighthouse glowed and the foghorn blew, the commotion took the winners by surprise: "I'm so excited my knees are shaking!" exclaimed John Sika. The Sikas join six other winners at Turtle Creek Casino whose ships have come in on the Great Lakes Giveaway since the opening of the slot bank in June of last year. Located in the northwest corner of Michigan's lower peninsula, Traverse Bay Entertainment includes Leelanau Sands Casino, Double Eagle Restaurant, The Lodge, 1,000 seat Sands Showroom, Eagle's Ridge Conference Center on the west side of Traverse City, and Turtle Creek Casino, Misheekeh Restaurant, and Creek Side Caf? on the east side of Traverse City.
